Can I contact my therapist after hours? You may text or email regarding scheduling at any time. If it is after hours, it is possible that your text might not be seen until the next business day. What if I have to cancel or reschedule my appointment? Please give 24 hours notice for cancellation or reschedule. Missed appointments or less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full fee.

Will my information stay private? Yes, it is required by law to keep your health information protected according to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.) You will receive a notice of privacy practices during your intake which will further explain your privacy rights.
What is your background? I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling at Oakland University and I am fully licensed in the State of Michigan. With extensive experience working in both private practice and at a large community agency, I have treated a wide range of mental health issues, from mild concerns to severe mental illness. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults. During the span of my career, I have also provided clinical training and mentored other fellow therapists. I have been recognized and interviewed as an authority in the mental health field and have been published.

Are video appointments difficult if I am not good with computers? Telehealth appointments are not only convenient, but they are also typically as easy as clicking a link! I will send a link to your email prior to your first session using a HIPAA compliant platform and will call you at your first session to help walk you through getting started. There is also free IT tech support to troubleshoot any issues if they occur.
How much does therapy cost and do you accept insurance? I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Optum, Priority Health and Blue Care Network. Aetna will be coming soon. Private pay is also accepted, please contact for a list of rates. If your specific insurance is not listed, a superbill can be provided to claim out of network benefits.
